Toronto Black Film Festival

GLO Communications has been working with the festival team for three years. Strategizing release material (press releases, press junkets, and influencer campaigns) to make the festival stand out. We work with internal stakeholders to plan the campaign yearly.

Challenge

Working with a festival across Canada, with four different markets organizing festival releases that were competing with Toronto Film Festival, Hot Docs, and Montreal Music Festival

Campaign Results

Despite extensive competition, we secured media across Canada in print, radio and TV. In 2018 we secured 139 stories 49 million media impressions, in 2019 we secured 190 stories 74 million media impressions. GLO's coverage helped to build the brand in Ontario. Some of the media coverage included: The Globe and Mail. Toronto Star, National Post, Your Morning, The Social, CHCH Morning Live and Global Morning Live
