D.O. Rueda
The top-selling white wine region in Spain with 39% of market share (including white, red and rose wines). GLO Communications is the agency on record and takes care of the strategy and campaigns within the Canadian Market. Some of the tactics we plan: media campaigns, influencer campaigns, educational campaigns (Sommeliers, and schools across the country), consumer campaigns (themed tasting dinners and wine shows) as well as wine agent events with SAQ and LCBO teams.
Goal
To raise D.O. Rueda presence within the Canadian marketplace, and educate the public through campaigns profiling the Verdejo grape which is indigenous to the region.
About the Campaigns
GLO Communications has been the AOR for D.O. Rueda since May 2019. Each calendar year we plan activations to help raise awareness of the region and the wineries. In 2022 we helped increase sales by 42% in the Canadian marketplace.
Campaign Results
Influencer Program: English and French speaking markets (Ontario and Quebec) 25,799,204 impressions with over 300 dedicated posts via influencers with trackable hashtags via Keyhole metrics
Media Campaign: Dedicated media campaigns in which we secured over 38,458,912 media impressions including outlets: LCBO Food and Drink Magazine, Vintages Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Zoomer Magazine, The Kit, Toronto Star and CP24
Wine Agent Event: Creating a virtual tasting for wine agents in Ontario and Quebec for unrepresented wineries. From the event, we had 14 agencies set up meetings with all the wineries presented. All have been signed in Ontario and Quebec markets.
